GLASGOW, KY – September 25, 2025 – A transformative new investment is coming to Barren County. Today, Union Coating & Chemical Industries, together with the Barren County Economic Authority and Governor Andy Beshear, announced the establishment of Union’s new U.S. manufacturing facility in the South Cooper Industrial Park, Speculative Building 1, Glasgow, Kentucky.
Headquartered in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt, Union Coating & Chemical Industries is a leading global manufacturer of advanced powder coating solutions. Union will invest USD 11.9 million in the initial phase of the Glasgow facility, with plans to scale the investment to USD 20 million. The new plant will focus initially on powder coating compounds, with strategic plans to expand into additional product lines as market demand grows.
